Scripture: Isaiah 43:19

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Intro: The Shift You Feel But Can’t Explain

Not every breakthrough begins with fireworks.

Sometimes, God starts with silence.

There are moments when life looks the same—but your spirit knows something is changing.

You might not see movement yet, but that doesn’t mean God isn’t moving.

Isaiah 43:19 reminds us that God doesn’t just improve things.

He creates something entirely new.

1. It Often Starts Beneath the Surface

“Now it springs up…”

New beginnings rarely look exciting at first.

They often start in the hidden places—just like a seed under the soil.

Nothing looks different on the outside.

But something powerful is already growing beneath.

That’s why God asks, “Do you not perceive it?”

He’s inviting us to look deeper—to believe that just because we can’t see it yet, doesn’t mean it’s not real.

Picture this:

Think of a seed. It stays underground long before anything green shows above.

But the lack of visibility doesn’t mean inactivity.

It means preparation.

If you feel buried or unseen, this might not be a setback.

This might be your rooting season.

2. God Makes a Way Even in the Hard Places

“I am making a way in the wilderness…”

The wilderness in the Bible always represents a dry, unclear, uncomfortable place.

And yet, that’s where God chooses to do His deepest work.

He doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.

He builds pathways in hard seasons.

He’s not waiting for you to be in a better place—He’s already meeting you where you are.

Think of how He led His people:

• They didn’t have a clear map—but they had cloud by day, fire by night

• They didn’t have houses—but they had manna every morning

• They didn’t have speed—but they had constant presence

Maybe you’ve been waiting for the season to change.

But maybe the season has already started, and God is simply asking you to follow Him through it.

3. The New Thing Won’t Look Like the Old Thing

This is where many of us miss what God is doing.

We expect the next season to look like the last one that worked.

But God says, “I’m not repeating myself. I’m doing something new.”

Here’s a picture :

Imagine trying to wear shoes from 10 years ago.

Even if they were perfect back then… they don’t fit you now.

Not because something’s wrong—but because you’ve grown.

Don’t try to go back to something you’ve outgrown.

God is shaping something that fits your current calling—not your former comfort.

This new thing may not feel familiar.

But it’s still from God.

4. You Don’t Need All the Answers to Say Yes

God doesn’t ask, “Are you ready?”

He asks, “Are you willing?”

Throughout Scripture, He moved through people who didn’t have the full plan—just a willing heart.

• Noah built without ever seeing rain

• Mary accepted a promise she didn’t fully understand

• The disciples followed Jesus without knowing the destination

What qualified them wasn’t perfection—it was their yes.

The new thing God is doing doesn’t start with a plan.

It starts with a reciving heart.

5. You’re Not Late—You’re Right on Time

You might feel like you’ve missed something.

Like you should’ve done more, started earlier, believed faster.

But God doesn’t run on panic or pressure.

He runs on purpose.

“He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.”

(Philippians 1:6)

If God started it—He’s still working.

And He’s not done with you yet.

Closing Word: Let It Rise

You don’t have to force what God is doing.

You don’t have to chase it.

You just have to stay open.

Let it rise. Let it surprise you. Let it shift your perspective.

God is doing something new—not just around you, but within you.

Even now, it’s springing up.
